Fundraiser for boxing clubs – Boxing News

Mental health boxing charity In Your Corner will be hosting a virtual event on Monday to raise funds for boxing clubs in the South East like Carney’s Community, Fitzroy Lodge and Swanley ABC

IN these particularly challenging times amateur boxing clubs are in desperate need of our support. Non-profit clubs like Fitzroy Lodge in Lambeth are run by volunteers and supported by donations, grants and member subscriptions.

This Monday evening (December 7) mental health boxing charity In Your Corner will be hosting their very own virtual version of the popular TV show A League of Their Own mixed with A Question of Sport. You can take part on your own, form a team with some friends or family and all from the comfort of your front room.

Team captains will be Johnny Nelson and Leon McKenzie.

In Your Corner will be asking participants to donate via the website. In Your Corner will be donating funds to boxing clubs in the South East such as Carney’s Community, Fitzroy Lodge and Swanley ABC. There will be no obligation to take part in the quiz, and you can tune in, although there will be a prize for the winning team.

To submit your scores please email where they will announce the winning team. Remember this event is for fun, raising money for charity and is based on your honesty when submitting the scores!

In Your Corner are a charity that works within the mental health arena via the NHS, secure units and create community groups for vulnerable people via non contact boxing classes.
